The Bay Area Book Festival, May 1-9
Considering for a moment the bookish path of this past year, we are happy to celebrate this week that the Bay Area Book Festival is launching the 7th year of its annual event. This self-proclaimed “bridge to everywhere” event begins May 1st and runs through May 9th.
The 93rd annual Academy Awards
With the pandemic still making things difficult in every aspect of our lives, the Academy Awards ceremony is equally affected. The telecast has been pushed back to Sunday, April 25th instead of its previously planned February 28th date. But unlike many telecasts where guests are often featured through remote means, there won’t be any “zooming” allowed.
Did you hear the one about National Humor Month?
April is National Humor Month, and boy, do we need that! This has been one heck of a year, and sometimes, when the chips are down, a good laugh is just what we need to restore our spirits. Laughter doesn’t just boost our mental and emotional well being! It also can be a boost to our physical selves.
