A Salute to The Serra Friar
The history of the Serra Friar and its importance to our school’s history cannot be wrapped up in one humble blog post, but it can give us a glimpse into the life of Padres past through the news that student reporters were covering for the paper. As we in the library pack up the Friar archives and ready this section of campus that houses it for renovation, we reflect on all things that have stayed the same and marvel at how much has changed.
Live shows! Again! … Are we ready?
As we pass the two year anniversary of the start of the pandemic we might ask ourselves, “Is this summer going to be another bummer?” Let’s buy our tickets, grab a friend, and head out to do all the things we’ve missed doing. But on our way out the door, let’s grab our mask, hand sanitizer, and make sure we have our vaccination card on our phone.
